Dolomite is a carbonate mineral containing calcium magnesium carbonate CaMg (CO3)2
Dolomite term also used to describe the sedimentary carbonate rock, which consists mainly of the mineral dolomite (also called dolostone) .Dolomite used as an ornamental stone, a concrete aggregate, a magnesium oxide source and the Pidgeon process for the production of magnesium. It is an important petroleum reservoir rock, and serve as host rocks for Mississippi Valley-Type (MVT) ore deposits of base metals big as lead, zinc, and copper. Where calcite limestone is uncommon or too costly, dolomite is sometimes used in its place as a flux for iron and steel metallurgy. Bulk handling dolomite used in the manufacture of float glass.
In horticulture, dolomite and dolomitic limestone is added to soil and potting mix as a pH buffer and as a source of magnesium. Home and garden contains common examples of this use.
Dolomite is used as the substrate in marine (saltwater) fish tank to help change water pH buffer. The researchers want to build particle physics detector under dolomite layer to allow the detector to detect the highest possible amount of exotic particles. Because dolomite containing relatively small amounts of radioactive substances, it can insulate against cosmic rays without adding to the level of background radiation.
Mine area: Exploiting area of dolomite mine is 36.11 ha and is determined by 8 angular points in the map of exploitation area at the scale of 1:2000, issued under Decision No. 24/TTr-STNMT dated February 28th, 2011 by Department of Natural Resources and Environment.

Stone (under 700mm size) is transported by 15 ton dump truck from mine to grinding plant where it is poured directly into vibratory bowl to remove subbase impurities before entering jaw crusher (capacity 300tons/hour). Then crushed stone is delivered to bowl feeder and transferred to classifying screen by conveyor belt.
Stone (over 200mm size) returns to impact crusher and bowl.
Stone (under 10mm size) is transferred to cone crusher where it is grinded then delivered to 0.5mm screen. Stone under screen is put into store while stone above screen returns cone crusher.
